Show Birth Certificates No Longer Issued "Notification of Birth Registration Regis-tration cards are no longer issued is-sued to parents of new-born babies," announced Roy C. Stephenson, Ste-phenson, director of the Division Divi-sion of Vital Statistics of the Health Dept. Formerly, the Division of Vital Statistics, Utah State Department Depart-ment of Health issued free of chargethe Notification of Birth Registration, which most parents par-ents believed to be a certificate of birth. However, it was Aerely notice of the fact that the birth hda been registered, and it did not have legal value. If, for any reason, parents re quire evidence of their baby's birth, we will issue a certified copy of birth cirtificate upon receipt re-ceipt of written application, showing name, i date of birth, father's name, and fee of one dollar. This certified copy is acceptable ac-ceptable to the Federal Government, Govern-ment, the armed forces, and any agency which requires evidence of birth. ! Roy C.
