If the sweet young things aren't walking down the aisle to take their vows they are attending another an-other sweet young thing who is . .'. or else they are just interested inter-ested onlookers. Anyway there are plenty of romances to tell you folks about. Just lookee here . . . Peggy Allen is anticipating more than Christmas gaiety these days. She is officially engaged en-gaged to Ray Foulk, also a prominent prom-inent southeasterner. Her par-j Oents are making the announcement. announce-ment. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Allen live at 1564 E.13th South. Ray is a son of the R. E. Foulks, 1160 E. 8th South. No immediate immedi-ate wedding plans have been made yet, however. The former Kathryn Kane and Mack H. Dalton brought a bit of excitement into the lives of their friends and families when they became man and wife in Las Vegas, Nev. Kay is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kane, 1364 9th East, Mack comes from Bakersfield, Calif., and he plans to take his bride there to live after Dec. 1. Needless to say, we'll miss Kay. Mr. and Mrs. Vern D. King, 1139 11th East, issued invitations invita-tions to friends and relatives for the wedding of their lovely daughter, Mary Jane. She was married Nov. 8 to Billy Grant McHenry, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence D. McHenry, 1131 11th East street. Sterling W. Sill officiated. of-ficiated. Sounds like a neighborhood ro- mance to us and a god match it is. Mary Jane and Grant honey-moned honey-moned in Carlsbad after a wedding wed-ding reception that will be remembered re-membered by Southeasterners for some time to come. And what do you know about Phil Procter choosing a New England maiden for his wife? ' She must be plenty nice or Phil wouldn't have picked her, what? The young1 woman's maiden name was Eva Margaret Stead and her home was in Esmond, R. I. They were married at the home of her parents. Phil is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Fran-cis A. Procter, 2636 18th East. Following his discharge from the service the newlyweds will come to Salt Lake. A recent bride is the former Bonnie Worthen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo C. Worthen, 1989 Berkeley St. She exchanged nuptial vows with Kenneth H. England, son of the LaVel Eng-lands Eng-lands of Ogden. The ceremony was performed in the Salt Lake temple by Elder Harold B. Lee. The Memorial House in Memory Mem-ory Grove was the scene of a formal reception held in their honor. The bride chose a gown of white rayon crepe with a sweeping train and long veil. La Verne Johnson and Kenneth Judd attended the young couple. cou-ple. They will make their1 home in Ogden. More romantic news came our way when we heard about the Swenson-Fugit tie-up. Marilyn Swenson became Mrs, Raymond S. Fugit Nov. 8 in an informal O ceremony solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. The proud parents haven't decided de-cided upon a name for the seven-pound seven-pound boy but they know he's a champion. Lyndon James , is the baby's older brother.
