Show Couple Holds Gold Wedding Tuesday night, Nov. 19, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse M. Fox, 2717 7th East street, were honored at a reception in the Newhouee hotel, commemorating their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary. Earlier in the evening a large family dinner was given in their honor by Mrs. George H. Wallace, a sister of Mrs. P'ox. It was held in the same home in which Mr. and Mrs. Fox had their reception following their marriage fifty years ago, in 1896. In the reception line at the hotel were Mr. Fox's charming 93-year-old mother, Ruth May Fox and Mrs. George H. Wallace. Mr. Fox, now retired, spent 46 years with the National Biscuit Co. After joining the organiza-I organiza-I tion Oct. 10, 1900, working in ! the delivery department when goods were distributed by horse and wagon. After that he worked work-ed in the packing department and was then promoted to salesman. sales-man. Always acitve in church work, Mr. Fox has served in each of the priesthood quorums and most of the auxiliary organizations organiza-tions of the various wards in which he has lived. He served a mission for the LDS church to the Society islands. In recent years he has served in the bishopric bish-opric of the Wandamere ward, in the high council of the Grant stake and is at present dn the presidency of the high priests quorum of Grant stake. Mrs. Fox has long been active in church auxiliary work. She served as the first secretary of the Wandamere ward Relief Society So-ciety and has held other positions posi-tions in the various LDS auxiliary aux-iliary organizations. She is the daughter of the late Soren Peter Neve and Bengte Olson Neve. |
