It is a little early at this time to tell President ,Veb Richards today to-day announced the nominating committee for the nomination of club officers for the 1946-47 fiscal year- The following offices of-fices are to be filled at the the election to be held in June: president, first, second and third vice presidents, secretary, treasurer, treas-urer, lion tamer, toil twister, two 2-year directors and a spizerinkter. At our regular board of directors di-rectors meeting April 4 at the home of J. R. Our attendance to regular meetings could have a little more help from some of the members mem-bers tKat don't seem to be able to make every meeting. We must all put our best foot forward for-ward if we are going to wind up a winner in the state district contest. We won this contest last year and there is no reason why we can't do it agin tlTis year if every Lion will make it a point to come out regularly. Dr. T. L. Parmelee of the physics department of the University Uni-versity of Utah will be our guest speaker at the regular business bus-iness meeting to be held at the Olympus Junior high April 25 at 8 p.m. His subject will be "The Atomic Bomb." Dr. Lloyd of the Brigham Young University Univer-sity will be the guest speaker at our r xt regular dinner meeting at Judd's on May 10. He will speak on the subject "Leadership." "Leader-ship." Club members were shocked and saddened at the news of the &? Ik a - death last T h u rsday of Choryl Lynn, three-year-o 1 d daught e r of Bob and Evelyn Eve-lyn Tregeagle. The beautiful little child died at a Salt Lake hospital and funeral services serv-ices were held Monday afternon. The thoughts of all of us turn with love and sympathy to Bob and Evelyn in their sorrow. |
