Show Week's Activities At Westminster Dr. Chester Strait came to the Westminster college campus this week to direct the public relations rela-tions program. I Iff Str.'il has been an army chaplain for three and one-half years, and before that he was a missionary in llurma for Hi years. lis family lives in Berkeley, Calif-, and consists con-sists of one daughter and two sons born in llurma. Dr. Strait has made an extensive study of primitive culture and religion, and owns a large collection of objects used by the people of the Chin tribe who live in the foot hills of the Himalayas in Burma. Bur-ma. An auction was held in the college chapel Monday morning and $170 was raised to be given for war relief through the World Student Service Fund and the Save the Children Federation. Federa-tion. Objects acutioned included includ-ed things which are difficult to secure in the war areas, such as soap, chocolate and books Westminster students and faculty facul-ty are already supporting two Belgian children to the extent of eight dollars per month each. A crew of four men have been planting a private hedge around the college campus along 13th E. and 17th So. This is part of the new program of campus beautification. The class in social problems under the direction of Dr. Lloyd Wilcox made a field trip Saturday Sat-urday which included visits to the new prison at the Point 4)f the Mountain, ie state mental hospital a Provo, and the state training school at American Fork.
