Show Christmas Lights, Programs Start Tomorrow in S. II. The Christmas lights are scheduled to go on in Sugar House tomorrow launching a holiday season of display and entertainment the likes of which have never been seen in this area. At the same time an outdoor out-door cottage and stage will bo set up in the plaza from which j varied programs for music and entertainment will emanate on various occasions from tomorrow tomor-row until Chistmas Eve. Horace A. Sorensen, president of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, announces the tentative tenta-tive dates for holiday music ana entertainment as tomorow (Dec. 8), Friday and Saturday, Dec. ' 14 and 15, the following Friday and Saturday, Dec. 21 and 22, and Monday, Christmas Eve." Entertainment a 1 1 r a c tions, carolers and entertainers, will be featured on these evenings, along with broadcast music, and high spot of the festival will the appearance of Santa ClaUo on Saturday night, the 22nd, at the giant tree in the plaza, from which he will distribute gifts to all the youngsters present. Ken White of Success Radio is arranging the broadcasting facilities for the stage, and A-W. A-W. Hart of the Sugar House Music and Book is lining up the talent to appear on various evenings eve-nings of the festival. Small musical mu-sical groups from surrounding -schools and churches are invited to appear during the holidays on I the stage, and any such groups interested in participating should get' in touch, with Mr. Hart.-, |
