Hoi. 710 I Monday night the Holladay P-TA entertained the teachers of Holladay school at a dinner party held in the Seagull room of the Hotel Temple Square. In addition ad-dition to the teachers the P-TA officers and room mothers were in attendance. The P-TA Pres. Mrs. M. B. Wright was in charge assisted by the officers. Frank Withers, a member of the P-TA. acted as master of ceremonies cere-monies for a quiz program held between the teachers and parents. par-ents. The tables were beautifully set with candles and lace Christmas Christ-mas trees for center pieces, and Oeach teacher was presented with a gift to remember the occasion. Assisting with arrangements were Bessie Jensen, Erma Halli-day, Halli-day, Lucile Hobbs, Ovella Shaw, Millie Debs, and Genevieve Bol-ey. Bol-ey. The Holladay Ward Relief Society will hold a bazaar tonight to-night (Dec. 7) at the ward house, featuring "particular gifts for particular buyers" a line assortment of hand made holiday gift items. Also there will be plenty of good food, and entertainment for the whole family is guaranteed. guaran-teed. The affair starts at 8 p.m. Mt. Olympus ward was the scene Wednesday of an outstanding out-standing exhibit of work by Utah artists to which the public was invited. The exhibit was presented by the Olympus school as part of its project to build an outstanding permanent collection collec-tion of fine art works for the school. The school glee club furnished music, and a tea was held. Mrs. Verl Bishop. P-TA president, and Elmo Pack, school principal, was in charge of arrangements. LION'S CLUB NEWS Last Thursday night Supt-David Supt-David Gourley of the Granitp School District spoke to the Holladay Hol-laday Lions and outlined the building program for the Holladay Hol-laday Area under the new program. pro-gram. In the not too distant future fu-ture we will have two new rooms added to the Holladav school before school starts in 1946 with four more to be added j at a later date, a new junior high school in addition to the Olym-1 pus Jr. High, and a new high 1 school to be located between Holladay and East Mill Creek. The sheriff has designated two coasting lanes for the Holladay area, according to a report from the Lion's safety committee headed by Jack Haigh. A report from the War Bond f committee headed by Chairman Kay Hammond states that after the Lions' meeting Thursday night we had sold a total of $4550 in Victory bonds or a totai of $2050 over our quota. Chairman Roy Linton has announced an-nounced that the Holladay Lions annual Christmas party will be held this year at the Old Mill Club on Thursday night Dec. 13. This is the party of the year and all members should plan on saving this date as a swell party par-ty is in the making. The Holladay Lion's annual Fall Festival held Nov. 30 at the Old Mill club turned out as usual to be a swell affair and was well attended. It Was sure swell to have some visiting visit-ing members from our neighboring neigh-boring clubs.
