Show . Merle Burnett Announces Her EitgssgemeirEt At a beautifully planned announcement an-nouncement tea at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth W. Burnett, Marie Burnett told of her engagement to Le-land Le-land Housely of Oklahoma. In a bowl of white sweet peas were nodding scarlet hearts bearing the names of Lee and Marie. In the dining room beneath a life size portrait in colors of the lovely red haired attendant to the Centennial Queen stood a table covered with an exquisite exqui-site cut-work table cloth centered cen-tered with a huge heart filled with white sweet peas. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served to the guests who called to see her trousseau. Announcements in the form of tiny white scrolls bearing the names of the couple cou-ple and the date of March 25 were passed by Louise Burnett, sister of the bride. Louise will act as flower girl at the wedding. wed-ding. Calleen Robinson, the Queen of the 1947 celebration and Mary Louise Gardner, the other ft attendant, were among the guests. |
