Show AT THE CONCERT . . . Saw a lot of you at the Utah State Symphony concert the other evening ... The Jack Adamsons talked with Marion and Allan Jensen, Scott Clawson and Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Tanner after the concert. con-cert. Joe and Elaine sat with their mothers, Mrs. A. Eugene Christenscn and Mrs. Tanner of Layton. Mayor and Mrs. Earl J. Glade were thrilled with Brahms violin concerto as interpreted by Concertmaster Leonard Posner. The George M. Cannons liked that number best, too. Saw J .Stuart McMaster and his young son, and believe me they loved the Promised Valley Suite. Mr. and Mrs. Nibley Meldrum had excellent balcony seats. Lorin Wheelwright had to leave the concert early as did Dr. and Mrs. Lowell Durham. Mrs. Marcus Funk was looking very attractive in a smart blue spring outfit. Marion Darger chose a tailored grey tweed suit for the occasion. Mrs. Allen Thomas, Marion Burrows, Ralph Bradley, Brad-ley, Dick Pyke wouldn't have missed this concert for the world. , Keith Montague escorted his mother-in-law, Mrs. Vivian P. Snow to the musical treat because his wife Elizabeth was just recovering from the flu. Can't help saying how proud we are of our symphony orchestra with Maurice Abravanel as conductor. It's what Salt Lakers have been dreaming of for a long, long time. Our spring bonnet is offi to the conductor, the orchestra members and the symphony board of directors. |
