Show Harold C. Lobb In Officer Candidate Class Wake Island and the Solomons magic names to every red-blooded American youth. And they provided the attraction attrac-tion which brought Harold Clark Lobb; 1030 Military Drive, Salt Lake City, into the United States Stat-es Marine Corps, despite the fact that the University of Utah junior jun-ior had been serving as a junior clerk and typist at the army air base here. Lobb, son of Mr. and Mrs, Charles J. Lobb of the same Mil-itay Mil-itay Drive address, has enrolled in the Officer Candidates Class of the Leathernecks at Quantico. Va. Unless exigencies of war in-terfer, in-terfer, he will be allowed to complete com-plete his schooling at the University Univer-sity before being called for training train-ing under the Corps Wartime Officer Of-ficer 'Procurement plan, open to college men. and graduates be-the be-the ages of 17 and 30. Sports . editor of the "Utah Chronicle," campus publication, Lobb is a graduate of the East HighSchool in Salt Lake City. |
