Show Holiday Activities Earn Monies For Lions Club The Sugar House Lions club collected toys which were sent to the American Fork Training school by having each member bring a toy to the last meeting before Christmas. Dr. Alma Cot-tarn Cot-tarn was the chairman in charge of the Christmas activity and reported 100 response from club members. Fund raising activities during the pre-Christmas period included in-cluded the annual show at the Granite High School auditorium. The musical score was directed by Lee Humphries and the Lions members put on a little skit :a!!ed "The Grecian Urn Dance." The entire evening was pronounced pro-nounced a success both from a monetary and entertainment standpoint. Some funds were raised from the sale of prizes donated by Sugar House and downtown merchants. The funds were earmarked for helping underprivileged un-derprivileged children during the coming year. The Lions club has a continuous project for helping the needy. This year the club and club members cheered seven families with baskets of gifts at Christmas time. |
