Show STERLING NELSON SUSTAINED BISHOP OF NEW HIGHLAND PARK WARD Sterling H. Nelsen, 263G Highland Drive, was sustained last Sunday as bishop of the newly organized South Highland Park ward. The new ward was formed by the division of the Highland Park ward. Serving with Bishop Nelson will be Theodore Horman as first counselor; Dale R. Curtis, second counselor; M. Ward Lee, financial clerk and Grant J. Fisher, statistical clerk. The division of the wards was along Whitlock Avenue with Fairmont Park as the west boundary. The South Highland Park ward includes both sides of Beverly Street and both sides of 1500 East Street from Parkway Park-way to 2700 South. Crystal Heights ward will soon be in the dividing category agaih when two wards are expected ex-pected to be formed. Park Avenue ward has undergone under-gone a name change and is now called "East Stratford," and includes in-cludes in its boundaries both sides of Fillmore Street and both sides of Imperial Street from Parkway Avenue to 2700 South Street. The Bishops of the respective wards urge all members to attend at-tend fast day services in the wards they attended during the year since the January 6th meeting meet-ing will close the fiscal year for tithing accounting. The new Bishop Nelson is a merchandise broker and operates a firm bearing his name. |
