Show Another Youth To Go With Leathernecks Salt Lake has contributed another an-other of its youths to the Marine Corps Reserve. He is Russell W. Raybould, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward E. Raybould, 1076 Emerson Emer-son avenue, and a student at the University of Utah. Young Raybould has been placed plac-ed on the inactive list until his graduation from the University, at which time he will be ordered to report at Quantico, Va.. to work for a commission as Second Sec-ond Lieutenant. At Quantico, he will undergo a rigorous ten-week indoctrination training as a member of Candidates Candi-dates Class. This completed, he will be commissioned com-missioned and assigned to Reserve Officer's School for three months advanced work, covering the duties dut-ies of a platoon commander. At the University, the local Leatherneck majors in political science and is a member of Kappa Kap-pa Sigma fraternity. He is a graduate of East High School and works part-time as a meat cutter at the Crystal Palace Market. Mar-ket. Raybould enlisted at the Feder al Building Salt Lake City under the Corps Wartime officers Pro curement Program, open to college col-lege men and graduates between the ages of 17 and 30. |
