Show Fisher Jewelry Company Sold Last week Fisher Jewelry Co. was sold. J. Dean Fisher, prominent local businessman and sports enthusiast, Thursday completed negotiations to sell the store to Mr. Neisen R. Bank, formerly of Seattle Wash. Mr. Fisher's future plans were not available for publication publica-tion this week He opened the store in January, 1917. Mr. Bank, new owner-manager stated Tuesday that he will not change the name of the jewelry company "right away." Eventually, he said, he will change the store name to the same as his own. In the jewelry business for approximately 15 years Mr. Bank recently managed man-aged the Druxman Jewelry Co. in Seattle, Wash. He began working in the jewelry business in his home town of Minneapolis, Minnea-polis, Minn., where for 12 years he managed the Grodnik Jewelry Jewel-ry Co. Mr. Bank's business career was interrupted by the war. He served four years as a Navy senior grade lieutenant. His work was in security and records rec-ords management.-.. .In .1043 ,-l married Muriel Pickard of Seattle. Seat-tle. They have one son Barry, age 27 months. Mr. Bank first became' interested inter-ested in Fisher Jewelry Co. a year ago, when he spent a short vacation in Salt Lake, visiting his sister, Mrs. Irving Gilman, 1774 Michigan Ave. He was "certainly impressed" with Sugar Sug-ar House. Negotiations for the sale were completed last week, he said. The new owner said tha he will stock "good assortment of silverware in the lower price class." In addition, he will add a line of gift glassware. Mr. Bank said that his store will carry all the standard brands of watches. "Budget accounts will be welcome, without any carrying carry-ing charge or interest charge," he added. Dr. Erickson, optomotrist and Mr. Peterson will remain under the new ownership, Mr. Bank stated. |
