Show Cleanup Drive Slogans Asked Want to win 25? Just sit down and dash off a slogan for the annual Salt Lake Clean Up-Paint Up campaign. The Salt Lake Junior Chamber Cham-ber of pommerce is staging this annual city "face-lifting" drive the week of April 21 to 27, and the contest has already started for the slogan. The winner, to be selected by a comittee consisting consist-ing of Mayor Earl J. Glade, Dr. Ray Olpin president of the U. of U., and Dr. Robert D. Steele, president of Westminster, will be awarded a cash prize of S25. iThe rules are simple: Slogan shall not exceed five words. Entries must be in by fioon, April 2. Mail entries to Junior Chamber Cham-ber of Comerce, Box 2099, Salt Lake City 13, Utah. The annual drive is under the chairmanship of William Mackenzie, Mac-kenzie, and GordoiVvS.orensen, Sugar Honse business leader, is in charge of the publicity. Mr. Sorensen said plans call for an extensive campaign of advertising, adver-tising, including billboards, radio and newspapers, ja window display dis-play contest and various other features. But the opening blast is the slogan contest, and everyone every-one is invited to send in as many entries as they like. |
