Show Bowling Leagues Ready for Action This week marks the beginning of the league bowling season at the Southeast Bowling Courts, with the Forest Ladies league starting the ball rolling on Wednesday Wed-nesday morning. Having lost many of their number who have taken up war work, the group will consist this year of only six teams. That evening the Southeast South-east League will swing into action ac-tion with 8 teams instead of last year's 16. They be sponsored by the Ashton Heating Co., Holsum Bakers, Caldwell's C-lect Market, Mar-ket, - Mecca Bar, Palace Market, Phil and Joe's Sport Shop, Bir-rill Bir-rill Bottling Co., and Safeway No. 27 Friday night the Lumbermen's League gets under way with almost al-most the same teams as last year: Granite Mill and Fixture, K's Inn, Utah Pigeon Club, Morrison-Merrill Yard, M. and M. Mill, U. S. Gypsum, Union Assay, and Deseret Lumber Co. The Cardinal Ladies League' also al-so bowls on Friday with the following fol-lowing sponsors: Bowers Home Furnishings, Wendell's Market, S. E. Courts, Fashion Cleaners, Quality Press, Ben Franklin Store. Sugar Bowl, and Michel's Roofing. Roof-ing. On Monday, September 14th, the Sugarhouse Major league starts with a "once-aeross" tournament. tour-nament. Sponsors of the eight teams follow; Thor Tools, Granite Gran-ite Mill, Sugar House Coal.Bruns-wick Coal.Bruns-wick Red Crown, Sugar Bowl, Nu-Art Lighting, Al's Barbecue and Linoleum Studios. The Southside League with a 920 team limit begins its season September 15th and teams entered enter-ed are: Barnett and Weiss, Sugar" Bowl, .Camera Centre, Coon Chicken Inn, Dee's Hamburger, Central Lumber Co., Don Hard-man's Hard-man's Service, and Remington Arms. A league new to the Souheast, the Independent league, will roll at 9:15 on Tuesdays, and the Mountain States Fuel Company league will occupy the alleys on Thursday nights, so bowling promises to be a popular pastime for many during the season.
