Show State Health on the Improve Reports of local health officers to the Utah State Department ol Health for the week ending September Sep-tember 4, shows continued improvement im-provement in the general health picture throughout the State on-lyl06 on-lyl06 cases of communicable diseases dis-eases were reported the lowest number to be reported for any week in 1942. Murnps led the list of communicable communi-cable diseases with a total of 23 cases. Only three cases of chickenpox; 3 cases of influenza, and 2 cases of scarlet fever were reported foi the week. Two new cases of infantile paralysis were reported from Salt Lake City, making a total of G cases to be reported since January Janua-ry 1942, from the entire State, One case of tularemia was reported re-ported from Heber, Wasatch Coun ty, the patient is 19 years of age. A total of 41 cases of this disease has been reported since the first of the year. No disease was reported from Brigham City nor the following counties: Beaver, Box Elder, Cache, Daggett, Davis, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield, Iron, Kane, Millard, Mil-lard, Rich, San Juan, Summit, Uintah, Washington, and Wayne. Diseases reported for the week are as follows: chickenpox 3, influenza in-fluenza 3, measles 19, German measles 19, mumps 23, pneumonia 1, scarlet fever 2, tularemia -1; whooping cough 8, gonorrhea 21, syphilis 14, and poliomelitis 2. |
