Show 9 HEALTH REPORT HEALTH Local health officers reported a total of 217 cases of communicable communi-cable diseases to the State Department De-partment of Health for the week ending October 17. This is 86 cases cas-es more than were reported one year ago and 26 cases more than were reported last week. ' Chickenpox stills lead the list of communicable diseases with a total of 27 cases. Seven cases of pneumonia were reported from Salt Lake City; this is 15 case fewer than were reported for the same week one year ago. One case of epidemic meningitis meningi-tis was reported from Salt Lake County, one case of undulant fever fev-er was reported from Heber.Was-atch Heber.Was-atch County, one case of infantile paralysis was reported from Salt Lake City, and one case of in-fectiouns in-fectiouns jaundice was reported from Tooele County. Juab County reported one case of rheumatic fever. Since September Sep-tember 19, 1941, 14 cases of this disease have been reported. Other communicable diseases are as follows; mumps 34, syphilis syp-hilis 26, gonorrhea 13, whooping cough 18, tuberculosis 1, septic sore throat 1, scarlet fever 9, German measles 3. and influenza |
