Show TO OUR PRESENT DAY PIONEERS MUST GO RECOGNITION Just 87 years ago the 23rd of last month, Our Community of Sugar House was first established. A story of romance, hardship and courage could be written around the struggle of the band of pioneers who braved the unknown; who pledged their lives, their fourtunes and their sacred honor. And for what? Not for gold, not for conquest, not for personal safety. safe-ty. But for freedom. And still what would these great men who sacrificed their all so that we might carry on derive from such late recognition. It is to the present leaders that we should turn with gratifying gra-tifying remarks. It is the pioneers of today that we should show recognition. Through columns of our paper will appear a series of articles written by Edward Beck, a Bulletin i'.ep-resentative, i'.ep-resentative, about the men, women and institutions who have accepted the challenge of the pioneers of yesterday and are now carrying on and continuing to build for the future " |
