Third Presbyterian Church The Daily Vacation Bible School has been going strong at the Third Church with scores of youngsters from 4 to 14 years of age attending the two hour sessions ses-sions each morning. Pontz, who was the representative of the Salt Lake Presbytery to the St. Louis General Assembly, will report the high points of the gathering of world Presbyterians. The "War Issue" wis a focal point of the Assembly's attention and called forth several stirring declarations of Uie Christian attitude towards the present world conflict. Announcement An-nouncement was made of the completion com-pletion of the campaign of the church for $10,000,000, for Christian Chris-tian Education, especially church colleges and the maintenance of college pastors in state colleges and universities. Church conferences will soon crowd the roster of the church for the summer months. The Presbyterian Church in the U. S. A. alone will sponsor nearly 200 summer conferences for young people to be held in over thirty states during June, July and August. Au-gust. Under auspices of the Federal Fed-eral Council of Churches three "Ashrams" or retreat Conferences, Conferenc-es, will be held during July and August in Los Angeles, Blue Ridge, N. C. and Sagatuck, Michigan. Mich-igan. The Ashram is a recent importation im-portation from India where Christian Chris-tian missionaries have been using methods adopted to the Indian envirement and attitude. Pastor Martin Niemoeller famous fam-ous prisoner of the Nazis has recently re-cently told the story of his experiences exper-iences in the concentration camp in Germay, how first of all the Gestapo had taken down stenographic steno-graphic reports of his sermons in the Great Berlin church where he ministered, how they had seized all of the church money which he administered.
