Show BOWLING The summer league at the Southeast Bowling Courts are are nearing the end of their sche dule. In fact, the Monday "Husband "Hus-band and Wife" league completed complet-ed its games this week, and a new league is being organized to start a new schedule next week. Interest is running high, and everybody seems to have a grand time with their summer bowling. Rae Brim of the Wednesday league was the lady to win last weeks prize, bowling 49 pins over her average in one game. The two top teams. Henatsch-Eby and Randall-Larkin, battled each other oth-er for top place and succeeded only on-ly in splitting points with two apiece. However they had excellent excell-ent series scores of 1946 respectively. respec-tively. H. Fletcher established a new record high game of 235 to put Jim Nelson in second place No records were broken in the final play of the Monday night league this week. The Ward-Fellows team finished first in the league, winning 18 points and losing los-ing 10. Second and third plane are each occupied by two teams tied in points, the Morley-Stevenson and Gaston-Davis teams holding second place, and the Pitt-Phillips and Janney-Papworth combinations com-binations being in third spot. The seasons play was featured by many tie games, and many , were won or lost by only a few pins. The week's prize went to Mrs. Grace Cozzens who raised her average 23 ponts from the first of the schedule. Tom Whiting was winner of the-bowling pin tie clasp for high score bowled during last week his score 246. To cool off day or night now drop in at the bowling alley where it's always cool, and incidently try for high score for the week. |
