Show A New Mayor Blade to Order After interviewing over one hundred voters in the Southeast regarding the election of a Mayor for Salt Lake City. I feel that it is my civic duty to make a qualified quali-fied report on what the people of the Southeast want. We want a Mayor who has the executive ability to conduct civic affairs on a strictly business basis, one who is fearless and determined determin-ed yet tactful in his actions. A man who has the intelligence and experience necessary to successfully success-fully lead the city commission in discourse without discord. A man who considers honesty a virtue and would not be influenced by personal motives. We want a mayor who is not attached to any political group nor committed to the special interest in-terest of any one, a true repre sentative of all the people. One who can through economy give us efficient adminstration without adding to our present tax burden. One who has the foresight and ingenuity in-genuity to plan now for Salt Lake City after the war. One who advocates ad-vocates more industry and larger payrolls. A man who believes in our city and its potential possibilities. possi-bilities. All of these qualifications and j many more virtues are found in j one, and only one candidate, Earl i J. Glade who "with civic pride and public responsibility leaves all : personal interests behind to offer his services to our city. He real-; real-; izes that now is the time for some one who has the adminstrative j ability to step in and straighten out many unsatisfactory condi-ditions condi-ditions in our government.
