Show B P W DEVISES WAY TO BUY DEFENSE BOND FUND STARTED AT MONDAY SUPPER " OTHER EVENTS TO ADD TO IT. CLUB TO DISCUSS WAR WORK i Women have always played a vital part during times of war and the women of Sugar House Business and Professional Women's Club are not to be outclassed although their group is small in number. This was evidenced when the women held their monthly meeting Monday night in the Sugar House Library and enjoyed a picnic supper instead of the usual elaborate meal. The supper cost only 25c per member and the balance usually spent for the supper was put into a fund to purchase a Defense Bond. Thelma Garff arranged the party par-ty and led in the discussion of war work in all its phases. The women discussed plans to keep abreast of the times in all sorts of work, Red Cross, home defense, and public work. They also laid ground work for the class in First Aid, which appears . in a separate article in this issue of "The Bulletin." |
