Show RED CROSS GETS LUNCHEON CHECK FROM r OF C MEMBERS SERVED HOT DOGS; GIVE BALANCE OF LUNCHEON MONEY TO SW ELL FUNDS Hot dogs and a bottle of "pop" constituted the luncheon menu Wednesday noon when members of the Sugar House Ctamberof Commerce met for the first meeting of January at Knight s Tea Room The balance of the luncheon funds was turned over to the American Red Cross to further the present drive for funds. wnnH R. Worslev represented . the Red Cross Organization at the meeting and gave a short account ac-count of the many things the group is doing and plans to do in the future. Red Cross was chartered in 1882 by an act of Congress Mr. Worsley said, and its first, field of work was in the battli; area during the Crimean war. The first work was along lines of nursing but later needs of the country showed the necessity of keeping such an organization alive and active at times of major disasters. Names familiar to Southeast bowlers were in the sports headlines head-lines this week when Jack Wig-nalls Wig-nalls and Dave Chipman won the Doubles tournament at Ogden last Sunday.
