But, then, they are old hands; having moved within the past few years from Japan to Wasw-ingto- n, D.C., to Germany, and now to Utah. Ray has retired from the U. S. Call HU5-826- 1 Folk Dancing For Beginners Under the sponsorship . of the Utah Laendlers, a beginners series of instruction in folk dancing will be given. The Laendlers, who are affiliated with the Folk Dance Feder-ation of California, desire to introduce this fun filled pro-gram to many more residents of the Salt Lake area. Two free courses will be given during the month of January, one to start on Tue-sday, January 6, and the other Thursday, January 8, at the Marwedel Dance Studio, 255 East 3rd South from 7:30 to 9:00 o,clock in the evening. Members of the Laendlers will assist their instructor in presenting and teaching the national folk dances of the European countries, the Near East and North and South America. Everyone who likes fun is most cordially invited to attend. Marcus Jensen, 1540 Mill Creek Way, will be hostess at a luncheon, Tuesday, Dec. 30 at her home for members of the Valley View Sixth Ward Relief Society Board. Appointments will be laid for 14 guests for the holiday affair. Entertains At Party The Murray City Squares will celebrate the yule season at a New Years Eve party at the Electricians Hall. In charge of arrangements will be officers, Mr. and Mrs, S. W. Ludwig, Mr. Howard Faulkner, secretary and vice president. Jesse Bates and a committee will be in charge of the mid-night supper. Fete Club Members Members of the Sewing Club were entertained at a Christ-mas luncheon at the home of Jetta Johnson, 189 M St. Guests included Vera Hoag-lan-d, Grace Risse, Marie Zaccheo, Effie Jensen, . Mar-jor- ie Jensen, Iris Mqrgan, Ruby George and Leone Weiler. The hostess served holiday refreshments.
