Show Elolladay Vet Auxiliary Decorates For Banquet !-' .. ... , 1$ .j'--T7 ! Staff Photo On Monday of this week the unit members toured the American Fork Training School after which their "adopted daughter" at the school played hostess to 80 little boys and girls with the assistance of the Unit. Tuesday the Unit entertained patients at the Fort Douglas Hospital. .Thursday, April 14th. at 8:00 p.m. the public is invited to a book review to be given by Charlotte McKlatchey: "Three Is a Family" at the Holladay Unit 71 Home, 670 East 33rd South. This Holladay Post has the verve and spirit traditionally American. Congratulations, Mrs. Bette Allen, president of Unit 71. Mrs. Jeanne Plott, Chairman of National Presidents Banquet for the American Legion Auxitiary and Mrs. Bette Allen, President of the Holladay Auxitiary 71, put finishing touches on these exquisite decorations which took three-weeks three-weeks to make and assemble. The gay Easter bonnets were all handmade hand-made by members. Others, not shown, on the decorating committee com-mittee were: Mrs. Audrey Fullmer, Mrs. Winona Williams, Mrs. Ardis Vollenweider, and Mrs. Ethelyn Lovett. The decorations were used Tuesday night, April 12th, at the American Legion Auxiliary Banquet Ban-quet held at the New House Hotel in honor of Vara V. Gray, national resident. Unit 71. Unit 71 has a busy week. Last Saturday they held a highly successful Bake Sale with proceeds to be used for expenses of Girl-Staters Girl-Staters from Olympus High School. |
