Show Successor To Supt. Grourley To Be Named Applicants for a successor for David Gourley, retiring superintendent superin-tendent of the Granite School District, have been "narrowed down to five or six" and a selection selec-tion will likely be made soon. This was explained last week at a. meeting of the Granite Board of Education by O. Thayne Acord, board chairman. A group of 12 Granite District residents, with Dr. Henry Plenk, 2169 Pheasant Way, as spokesman, spokes-man, asked the board to consider con-sider suggestions from universities univer-sities across the nation in making its selection. Mr. Acord said a successor would be named probably within the next week or two. |
