Carman, 2480 Walkers Lane, was one of 26 Utahns invited to attend the Western Regional Meeting of the National Citizens Council for j better schools being held at the f Peruvian Lodge. Alta. Uah, May 16-18. The conference theme was "How Can We Obtain, Keep, and Make The Best Use of Public Interest in Education." Henry Toy., Jr., President of NCCBS, was the Thursday evening eve-ning dinner speaker. Friday morning, Lawrence Martin, Mar-tin, Associate Editor of the Denver Den-ver Post, discussed "Communications." "Communi-cations." Friday afternoon a panel pan-el discussed "Merit Raise For Teachers." Elder Marion D. Hanks of the First Council of Seventy, L.D.S. Church, was the Friday evening speaker. Dr. H.
