Show Canyon Rim By Linda Bird The Highland View Ward Carnival will be held on Sat June 28, at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the ward parking lot. It will feature rides, games, food and fun tor all attending. The Elders Quorum of the Highland View Ward have started start-ed a program of supporting missionaries in the field. To a car washing service in the raise funds they have set up ward parking lot on a designated desig-nated Saturday each month. They can expertly wash a car in about 15 minltes. They work from 7 a.m. until noon. Heed Richardson. 2833 Wain-Wright Wain-Wright Road is in charge of the project. The combined Elders Quorum and Ward Choir of the Rose-crest Rose-crest Ward had a water skiing party on Saturday, June 21. Milton Sealey, Bishop Stanley G. Smith, and Stewart Pulsipher Pulsi-pher brought their boats. The ladies brought a picnic lunch and everyone had a fine time. The Rosecrest Second Ward girls are planning a Chuck Wagon Breakfast on Saturday, June 28 in the Buy-Rite market parking lot at 2827 So. 2300 E. Girls have been canvassing the area selling tickets for the affair. Just 25 cents for children chil-dren and 50 cents for adults can buy a breakfast of eggs, bacon, hot cakes, hot chocolate, or anything else in the breakfast break-fast line. Buy-Rite market is furnishing the food. The girls will prepare, serve it.and clean up afterwards. Profits will go towards the new girls MIA lodge in Provo Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin J. Brown are the proud parents of a baby boy born Sunday, June 15. They live at 2100 Atkin Ave. On Sat. June 21, a show was held at the Garden Heights Ward. The show was ''Sweet Rosie O'Grady" with Betty Grable. Profits will go towards to-wards the new girls lodge in Provo Canyon, The Garden Heights Ward held a Welfare banquet on Friday, June 13, to raise funds for the Stake farm. |
