Mrs. Volker will visit mainly in Germany, ' while her sisters are in Eng-land. They will all attend the dedication of the London Temple in September. Physics. Pia has been re-cently elected a vice president of the National Machine Accountants Association. He is supervisor of mechanized accounting for the LDS Church, with his headquarters in the Church Office Building. SUGAR HOUSE By Elaine Reiser Weddings take the spot-light in Sugar House this week. Dick Taggart and Kathy Samuelson were married June 13 in the Salt Lake Temple and are honeymooning in Washing-ton, D.C., New York City, Bos-ton and Niagara Falls, before returning to make their home in Salt Lake City. A reception honored them at Garden Park Ward. Glena Leek and Milton Stel-t- er were married June 10 in the Temple and were honored that evening at the Reception Center. Dianne Woodland became - the bride of Donald Reed Hyde, Friday, June 6, in the Salt Lake Temple. They were honored at a reception in Colonial Hills Ward and left following the event for a honeymoon in Cali-fornia. They will reside in Provo and continue their studies at Brigham Young University. Walter James Stoll claimed Avon Phillips as his bride Thursday. June 19, in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception was held in the Holladay First Ward, after which they left for Yellowstone Park for their honeymoon. Friday, June 20, Joseph S. Packard claimed Patricia Ann Sorensen as his bride in mar-riage rites at Memorial House, Memory Grove. Bishop Wallace L. Burt performed the cere-mony. The young couple were honored at a reception imme-diately following the ceremony, and left for an undisclosed honeymoon destination. Richard Collier graduated from the University of Utah last week with a degree in Elaine Reiser, attending summer school at the Univer-sity of - Utah, was recently appointed editor of the "U" Summer News, a tri-week-ly bulletin for summer school students. Kathleen Halverson, majoring in anthropology at the Univer-sity of Utah, has been selected to work in the Anthropology Museum in connection with the setting up of the displays fol-lowing excavations at Glen Canyon Dam. Kathleen helps identify, label and set up for display all artifacts from the project. Several ambitious teenagers tried to rush the hayriding sea-son this week by making a hay-rid-e trip to Alpine. Included in the jaunt were Annette Sum-mers, Carol Shelley, Duane Millard, Kathy, Pat and Kit Wright, Maurine Pitt, Veon . Smith, Helga Zoellner, Heidi Woltgen, Nancy Rogers, Sharon Muffett, Carole Blumhagen, Nelson Patton, Byron Burnett, Deanna Williams, Lois Free-stone, Helga Dahl, Don Whit-mor- e, Glen and Pauline Ward-ro- p, and Harvard and Eleanor Reed. Allen and Stephen Summers are visiting relatives in Tre-mont- on and spending their summer getting plenty of sun on the farm.
