Show Golf Club Makes Progress Architect Henry B. Hughes announced this week that the (Willow Creek Country Club golf caurse is now over 70 complete; construction has been underway for 90 days. He stated further that all heavy construction work is done and that installation of the intricate, automatic eight-mile pipe water system is well underway. Lee Stottern, Golf Course Superintendent, Super-intendent, added that seeding will begin about August ,15th. The large 250 horsepower water pump, which will push water into the system, is being installed while special electrical lines and equipment are being brought in by Utah Power & Light Co. In preparing the ground work the Board of Directors requested Mr. George Schneiter to review re-view construction progress of the golf course. Mr. Schneiter, who is well known in national golfing circles, stated that progress was good, and conservative conser-vative in terms of the budget. Mr. John NT. Clawson, architect, archi-tect, is scheduled to have complete com-plete drawings and specifications specifica-tions for the 21,000 square foot club house ready by Sept. 1. They will be submitted to contractors con-tractors for bid, , including alternates, at that time. Upon final approval of the membership, member-ship, contracts will be let to start the building about October 1st. Completion is anticipated in the early spring". |
