Show Fall Party Discloses Engagement ; Of Julia Diane Rockwood One of the lovely announcement parties of the fall season was the announcement of the engagement of Miss Julia Diane Rockwood, charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Rockwood, 2471 15th East,-to Donald J. Jackson, Saturday afternoon at their home. : Hostesses at the party were Mrs. Clarence C. Nelsen, Mrs. H. D. Lowry, Mrs. Vern K. Yoho, Mrs. Ray C. Johnson, Mrs. W. H. Rockwood, Rock-wood, and Mrs. Lewis F. Rockwood, Rock-wood, all aunts of the bride-elect. , A bridal theme of pink and white carried out the festive announcement an-nouncement Tea. The serving table was centered with white wedding bells attached to large pink and silver hearts with pink satin bows. White pompon chrysanthemums chrys-anthemums completed the artistic decor. The wedding news was revealed reveal-ed to the guests from miniature white bells, tied with pink satin ribbons and attached to tiny pink and silver hearts. The hearts opened op-ened to disclose the nuptial news, "Diane and Don . . . Dec. 5." Serving at the announcement party were Mrs. Trulon Rockwood, Rock-wood, Mrs. LaVar Rockwood, Mrs. Don Remington, Miss Joyce Lowry and Miss Julie Johnson. The young couple will exchange wedding vows in rites to be recited re-cited in the solemnity of the Salt Lake Temple. Following the ceremony cere-mony they will be honored with a wedding breakfast and that evening even-ing will be feted at a reception in the Stratford Ward. The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Utah, where she was a member of the Lambda Delta Sigma: Her fiancee returned return-ed recently from an LDS mission in the West-Central States. He is continuing his studies at the U of U. Following their marriage they will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
