On the Avintaquin and the Farm Creek-Rock Creek special permit hunts, which come under the jurisdiction juris-diction of the Ute Indian Tribal Fish and Game Board, it was ruled rul-ed that only special Indian permits per-mits would be valid. That is, unlike un-like the other special permit two-deer two-deer areas, permit holders may not fill their regular license tag if they should still have one. However, on the weekend of November No-vember 30 - December 1, the Avintaquin Av-intaquin unit will be open to the holders of unused regular license deer tags and-or additional doe tags as well as the holders of special Indian permits. As always, hunters planning to into these areas should check a copy of the Utah 1957 deer proclamation procla-mation covering hunting, boundaries bounda-ries and other regulations. Deer Hunters to Receive Cards Utah State Dept. of Fish and Game officials announced today that the Moab special permit, five-day five-day notice deer hunt, first of six such hunts, which began November Novem-ber 16. The hunt will continue through November 24 with legal bag on the special permit being two doe or one buck and one doe. Other special permits - five-day notice hunts yet to be called are the Book Cliffs, Nash Draw-Cot-tonwood, Daggett - Clay Basin, Daggett - Lucerne Valley, Diamond Diam-ond Fork-Tank Hollow and Gordon Creek. Holder of permits for these hunts will receive notification notifica-tion by letter and through this paper. Similar attention was called today to-day to the beginning of the special spe-cial two-deer permit hunts on Indian In-dian lands also commencing this weekend. These hunts will be on the Avintaquin and the Farm Creek-Rock Creek units and will be three weekends in duration. Hunters are reminded that on all of the above mentioned areas, except the Avintaquin and Farm Creek-Rock Creek, the holder of a special permit who also has an unused regular deer tag may fill that tag in addition to the two tags on his special permit, thus taking three deer. However, no one may hunt these areas except those holding special permits for |
