Creditors will present claims with vouchers to the under-signed at the office of W. Douglas Allen, 2121 South State, Salt Lake City, Utah on or before the 24th day of Sept-ember, A.D. 1958. ' Dora Julian, Administra-trix of the Estate of Carmen Julian, Deceased. W. Douglas Allen, Attorney for Administratrix Editorials Never Heard Of Westminster? Last weekend the Intercollegiate Knights from Westminster College canvassed the Sugar House business district in an attempt to sell season tickets to next fall's football games. The students hoped to sfcll one - - - just ONE season ticket to each business house. The tickets cost $5.00 each and are good for six home games. The South East Independent pointed out in its news columns and editorials that Westminster had a football team1 deserving of backing. When the students called on the business houses they were turned down cold. "We never heard of the South East Independent," the businessmen said. That is well and good. But it wasn't the South East . Independent that was trying to sell the tickets. It was Westminister College. Now, maybe the merchants have never heard of West-minster. It's possible. BUT the Westminster football team alone spends $6,000 a year at one Sugar House business house. It spends other thousands of dollars around the area. And that is just a 34-ma- n segment of the school. It is common knowledge around the Westminster campus that the students tttere support Sugar House and other South East area merchants- - Yet the entire business district bought only three tickets. That was three tickets! LETTERS TO THE EDITOR What price progress! I, for one, deplore the sight of the homes now being torn down or moved out of 7th East to make way for the continuation of the super highway. To me, 7th East has always been one of Salt Lake's most beautiful streets. To think that it is now being disfigured gives me chills. I would like to see progress go some place else and the nice homes and trees brought back to thdr bid rightful places. Mary Jensen . Have you noticed that certain products are decreasing in quantity while holding the same price, so that the poor is not so over-observa- nt as to check the weight or size of his purchase, will think that he is getting the same old worth for his money? This subterfuge should be protested against! Action should be taken to in-sure that the public is notified when a price change is effected, whether it be by such under-handed methods as cutting down the size of the product, or openly by raising the price for a certain product. Shame on you Salt Lake Resturant Operators. I recent-ly completed a business trip to Grand Junction, Colorado, where I had the opportunity of eating several meals at their leading resturants. The luxur-ious atmosphere found in the leading resturants surpassed by far any of our downtown resturants here in Salt City. They displayed comfort and quietness along with perfect timing on the part of the wait-ress, combined with out-of-th- is world atmosphere of dimmed lights, carpeted floors and the ultimate in cleanliness. And, incidentally, they don't close at ten o'clock at night! Classified ADS rractically New Tractor For Sale. Complete With TIow and Disc Attachment. Good Price.
