Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR What price progress! I, for one, deplore the sight of the homes now being torn down or moved out of 7th East to make way for the continuation of the super highway. To me, 7th East has always been one of Salt Lake's most beautiful streets. To think that it is now being disfigured gives me chills. I would like to see progress go some place else and the nice homes and trees brought back to thdr bid rightful places. Mary Jensen . Have you noticed that certain products are decreasing in quantity while holding the same price, so that the poor is not so over-observant as to check the weight or size of his purchase, will think that he is getting the same old worth for his money? This subterfuge should be protested against! Action should be taken to insure in-sure that the public is notified when a price change is effected, whether it be by such underhanded under-handed methods as cutting down the size of the product, or openly by raising the price for a certain product. Shame on you Salt Lake Resturant Operators. I recently recent-ly completed a business trip to Grand Junction, Colorado, where I had the opportunity of eating several meals at their leading resturants. The luxurious luxur-ious atmosphere found in the leading resturants surpassed by far any of our downtown resturants here in Salt City. They displayed comfort and quietness along with perfect timing on the part of the waitress, wait-ress, combined with out-of-this world atmosphere of dimmed lights, carpeted floors and the ultimate in cleanliness. And, incidentally, they don't close at ten o'clock at night! |
