| Show FARMERS TO RECEIVE TREE PRICE LISTS copies of the new farm forestry tree circular are being mailed to approximately utah farmers from the clarke nursery at utah state agricultural college J whitney floyd extension forester r announces the new circular shows another reduction u c 0 n in fored ati aln sale ale S price of trees for legitimate le g i m c farm farm woodlot or windbreak planting for the first time in the history of the states tree distribution program some trees will be available tor for the 1939 planting season at less than one cent each if purchased in quantity this reduced price should make it possible for all farmers in utah to plant trees in sufficient number to improve appearance pe arance and comfort of farm lomos homes professor floyd said enlargement lar of the output of the nursery at the college has boon been made possible by the increasing demand by utah farmers for good tree planting stock the federal clarke mcnary act provides federal financial assistance to cooperating states in producing trees for farm planting through parti participation ci pation in the program trees are produced and distributed to farms at approximately half the cost of producing 1 them during the ten years in wl which lich this program has been in force in utah more than trees have been planted by utah farmers price lists will be sent to all farmers who have purchased trees in the past and to those who have made inquiry for them during the past year others should contact their county agricultural extension agents or write to the utah state agricultural college extension service logan utah |
