agriculture officials attend canning school clyde larsen agriculture inspector for duchesne and uintah counties and russell keetch uintah county agent attended a canning school at ogden friday and saturday of last week the purpose of the meeting was to further education and cooperation of canning interests in the intermountain inter mountain west delegates from the utah crop improvement association the utah canning association and the california packing corporation as well as state agriculturists were present at the meeting mr larsen in a talk before the group described the results of the experimentation carried on in the uintah basin during the past year with a seed pea crop reporting success in some areas following this talk officials of the california packing corporation discussed their interest in this section and said perhaps they would be able to contract some 25 acres of crops in this area this coming spring other topics of discussion at the meeting were crop improvement marketing soil management grades and grading and insect and plant disease control
