Show transportation BIDS CALLED FOR BY SCHOOL BOARD contractors bond accepted and Is ordered filed work on three new school buildings to be rushed bushed the regular monthly meeting ot of the board ot of education of duchesne county was waa held at myton saturday with all board members present and president 0 C lockhart presiding the routine matters were first disposed of after which the budget tor for the school years of 1927 and 1928 was approved and ordered filed there were no protestants present to offer the board any suggestions the budget having been advertised and UP for final fal discussion before adoption in accordance with the law the pur chasing committee were authorized and instructed to purchase the necessary supplies for the coming year the bond of contractor ridges who was awarded the contract for the construction of the school buildings at neola upal co and bluebell was approved and ordered filed L D young of of the basin furniture company of roosevelt met with the board and discussed with them the matter of heating equipment tor for the school buildings mr air and mrs airs clare brown and mr blanchard oj of monarch were in attendance at it the meeting and requested the board to move the monarch school build ing to a site one halt half mile west wes t ot of the present location and in addition to construct a one room addition to the building tho the matter was taken under advisement by tho the board and will be taken up later and a decision will be made A I 1 in attee from was present and requested that their school be maintained and that their children not be transported to other 26 continued on page ten transportation BIDS ARE CALLED FOR BY BOARD continued from rom page one school buildings barney C miller of monarch was present jand and presented a proposition to the boardl board tor for the transportation ot of school children to and from the dhigh school for or the coming year the matter was tabled to secure additional dit ional information and a decision will be made later the clerk of the board was instructed ted to call tor for bids bide for for transportation por tation of students to schools on the following routes utahn juan ata and Stock more to duchesne antelope arcadia and to myton hancock cove and crescent to roosevelt the matter of op OD orating the hayden school was brought to the attention of the board and owing to uncertainty of the completion of the school build ing at neola in time for the opening n of school it was decided tol to maintain the hayden school the coming year the school calendar tor for 1927 and 1928 was presented and accepted this calendar provides provide tor for opening of school on september and very few holidays have been granted state architect john munson was waa present and reported to the board in detail on the building situation in the county he reported that some minor improvements and corrections ions should be made at the school buildings at duchesne and roosevelt before final acceptance from the contractor tho the usual bills were presented approved and ordered paid the meeting was adjourned to meet at duchesne on july eth |
