Show ROKA HANCOCK PASSES AWAY IN SALT LAKE CITY DEATH BRINGS RELIEF FROM GREAT SUFFERING TO ESTEEMED YOUNG TOUNG WOMAN N while not entirely unexpected the death in salt lake city ot of roka hancock 23 daughter ot mrs ether hancock and ia a former resident ot of roosevelt brought pain and sorrow to her many friends in roosevelt miss hancock had suffered for a long time with a brain tumor which was the cause of her death some time ago she lost her sight and the use of 0 her limbs the end oame thursday january 15 at the home ol of george searle in salt lake city she Is survived by three brothers ether of 0 idaho james ot of standardville Stand ardville utah and leo tot iol roosevelt and by seven sisters mrs J L pike of roosevelt mrs J C frezell ot of meeker colo mrs C B larsen roosevelt mrs lira leon galloway payson utah and three unmarried sisters zina warda and gladys she was born april 15 1901 at circleville Cir cleville utah and with her parents moved to vernal in 1906 in 1908 she oame came to roosevelt and resided here until about two and a halt years ago funeral services were held in roosevelt monday january 19 under the direction ot of bishop J austin pack ot of roosevelt second ward and were attended by a large number ot of the young ladys sorrowing friends john W galloway was the first speaker and highly praised the deceased having known her from birth J P may the ot of the young woman and spoke words ot of comfort com tort to the bereaved relatives bishop ernest H burgess spoke bit oit his intimate acquaintance with the departed she having been employed in his office off ice he told ot of her dependability pend ability and faithfulness to her work bishop pack in a few choice closing remarks extended sympathy to the bereaved relatives and friends tri ends appropriate music was beautifully rendered by a quartet composed 0 ait oit Johns mr and mrs morley vernon and mrs T I 1 L smart the benediction was pronounced by bruce calder interment was in roosevelt city cemetery the following were pall bearers charles dennis james leo and ether jr hancock arid and J L pike her mother and the following brothers and sisters cams came to roost velt tor for the funeral ether of idano idaho jim and ina of standardville Stand ardville olville zina of HE meeker and gladys ot of payson utah |
