Show SCHOOL BOARD VISITS BINGHAM. OCCASION FOIl BANQUET The Jordan District School Board paid a visit to Bingham and vicinity on Monday where a thorough inspection and sur vey of schools was made. Supt. Jensen of the district, R. Kas-mussen, Kas-mussen, clerk, and Chas. Beck-stead, Beck-stead, building supervisor, accompanied ac-companied the board. Dr. Paul S. Richards, locai member of the board, was host to the visitors and also a large number of business and profes aicmal men of the town at a banquet at Kiwanis hall at 12:80 Monday. . The purpose of the meeting was to bring the board and the townspeople together in a way to create cooperation in matters pertaining to the schools. Boyd J. Barnard presided. Mayor Flynn welcomed the guests on behalf of the town and Chairman W. W. Wilson o; the board responded. Those present were: W. W. Wilson, Mr. Dahl, Mr. Nickel-son Nickel-son and Dr. Richards, boaro members, Dr. Jensen, Supt.; R. Rasmussen, clerk: Chas. Beck stead, building supt.; E. A. Hod-gos, Hod-gos, state mine inspector; Dr. Flynn, Thos. McMullin, T. A West and James Nerdin of the Town Board; J. D. Shilling, C. Walker, F. E. Turner, A. A. Tibby, S. E. Fernley, Frances Ouinn, Paul Ransom, Dr. F. E. Straup, D. C. Watkins, Reuben Nell, Joe Hyland, Geo. Earl, Bp. D. A. Thomas, A. Stuart; Earl Nepple, C. L. Countryman, and J. R. Jarvis. Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Jensen and family spent Sunday in Salt Lake with Mr. and Mrs. A. B. VValdemar. ' Mrs. Neva Abel returned home Sunday after a month's visit in Los Angeles with her daughter Mis3 Zella Ward. Mrs. Charles Sullenger was hostess to the L. T. B. club Wed nesday afternoon of last week. Bridge was played. Luncheon was served to Mrs. O. C. Jones, Mrs. Vaughn Christensen, Mrs. Wm. Keim, Mrs. C. L. Country man, Mrs. Harry Steele, Mrs. H. Nichols, Mrs. Basil Doman, Mrs. Mark Hansen, Mrs. Mike Pearce, Mrs. Wm. Atkinson, Mrs. Jane Jackson and Mrs. Frank Mead. . Miss Alta Acord, a June bride, was the honor guest at a shower given by Mrs. Lawrence Still man, Miss Mabel Neprud, Miss Alta Miller, Miss 4dele Peters and Miss Dort H' .isen. At the home of Mrs. S-ilman Wednesday Wednes-day evening of iast week. The shower gifts 1 were numbered and placed in a chest and numbers num-bers corresponding were on a huge hear'. The bride - elect shot the numbers with a bow and arrow and opened the gift bearing the number,, which she pierced with the arrow. Lunch eon was served to the gues$ of honor and Misg Florence Childs, Miss Verena Graham, Miss He-Ion He-Ion Candland, Miss Annie Mas-ters.-.Miss Doris Masters, Miss Lola Carrigan, Miss Lucille Carrigan, Car-rigan, Miss Lora Carling, Miss Stella Klopens'ine, Mrs. Edna P. Wade, Mrs. Arthur Bird, Mrs. Horace Higgs and Mrs. R. Evans. Mrs. Beatrice Olsen enter tained Wednesdy eveping of last week at the home of Mrs. Ray Buckle in Copperfield. Prizes were won by Miss Jennie Buchman, Miss Lucy McComb and Mrs. M. T. Emery. A de-lisrhtful de-lisrhtful luncheon was served to Miss Buchman, Miss McComb, Mrs. Emery, Mrs. Grace Jensen, Miss Mabel Morrison, Miss Ade-le Ade-le Peters, Miss Dora Hansen, Miss Alta Acord, Miss Verena Graham, Miss Esfella Richardson, Richard-son, Miss Fredricka Chipman, Miss Blanche Larsen and Mrs. William Keim. - ' Mrs. Ralph Evans and Mrs. D. Larsen en'ertained the Ladies. La-dies. Auxiliary of Firemen No. 1 in the Fire hall Monday evening of last week.
