Show AN EVIDENCE OF BRAINS men of today are judged almost as much by their appearances a as they are by their acts and in no case is this fact more self evident than in the matter of bf correspondence years ago brawn was the chief asset of the farmer today it is brains then the farmer could write a letter on any old kind of paper and it would pass muster now he must have his printed stationery if he would take his proper place among tb the successful and brainy men of the day A few years ago a printed letter et head for the farmer was a thing for the museum today it is a common necessity and is found in every section of the broad land it is an evidence of the advance pd brain power of the american farmer fanner of today the farmer of tomorrow tomor rov and of the future neatly printed stationery in instantly commands the attention and respect of every body for it bespeaks progress on the part of the one who uses it but it serves yet another and equally important purpose it prevents numerous errors in the misdirection of letters in the faulty spelling of names in the confusion of an employee with the head of the farm for the average general farmer the accepted form of letter heads is as follows JAMES T ALEXANDER R R 5 henderson kentucky this should be printed in plain black type at the top of the page and when letter paper of this kind is used there is no ty of the misdirection of mail the same could be printed in the upper left hand corner of the envelope thus insuring the return of a letter in case of the same kind of stationery is used by men in the great cities for private correspondence not rel relating abing to their business affairs since thie the farmers of this community are up to date in other respects they should not be behind their brothers elsewhere in the matter of their stationery every farmer should have his own printed stationery for it will operate as an evidence to others at a distance of the brains and sightedness farsightedness far which we of this community know that our own farmers farmen possess the farmers of this community lead in other respects and it can easily be so in this at no greater expense than the old method of buying 25 cents worth of white paper and envelopes at a time |
