| Show THE commercial CLUB the roosevelt commercial club lub held a meeting thursday evening at the ashton hall quite a large crowd was tout but and a lot of business was transacted the president dr browning reported that the pamphlets advertising ver roosevelt and the uintah basin were being printed and would probably arrive this week it was reported that the salt lake los angeles road would commence active operations to build in the basin in the spring it was decided to devote a little time to the pikes peak highway to see that the road is repaired in this vicinity and put up markers along the route the commercial club is taking steps toward looking for more s suitable quarters for the public library and also to fit up a ladies rest room for ladies living out of town another important feature discussed was the work of roads toward bluebell and altonah alzonah Al tonah also the cedarview Ced arview neola and hay den roads these roads will receive some help from fram the county this coming spring H A isham rae ashton and C I 1 johnson were appointed to see that the pikes peak highway had markers along the route in this vicinity A birch and george pearce were appointed a committee to meet with the library board bo ard and see about getting suitable quarters l for a library and ladies rest room the commercial club will hold another meeting at the ashton hall wednesday evening march 8 it is desired that all members be present |
