Show Ballard Ellen Bracken Mrs. Ada Pickup and Mr. and Mrs. George Pickup, of Rand-lett, Rand-lett, visited Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Kettle, Sunday afternoon. A few members of the Primary Pri-mary Stake board Tuesday visited vis-ited the ward Primary. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bingham, Bing-ham, of Vernal, called Saturday at the Charles Bingham home. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle and family went to Vernal, Monday, Mon-day, on business. Sunday School faculty meeting meet-ing was held Wednesday at the home of Mrs. A. W. Seeley. Arvin Bellon gave the lesson and Diane and Barbara Hullin-ger Hullin-ger and Shanna Bellon served refreshments. Arthur Wiscombe is working on the Union high school build' ing. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston attended at-tended the annual Thanksgiving supper held at the Baptist church at Roosevelt, Thursday evening, Nov. 17. Mrs. Glen Allred is presently employed at the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital as a nurse. Lynn Bracken went to Montwel, Mont-wel, Thursday, with Stake Scout Leader Robert Andrews to assist in Scout work. Mr. and Mrs. Max Morrill, of Myton, visited Sunday withi Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark. Mrs. Minnie Zufelt was a patient pa-tient recently at the Roosevelt hospital. Mrs. A. W. Seeley went to Whiterocks Friday evening to visit Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Seeley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Butcher and family were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Butcher. Geo. Bracken and Troy Tremble Trem-ble spent the week-end in Denver, Den-ver, returning Sunday evening. Mrs. Leland Angus substituted Thursday and Friday for Mrs. Evan Phillips, Alterra 7th and 8th grade teacher. Priesthood meeting and Relief Re-lief Society convention were held Sunday afternoon. A number num-ber from Ballard attended. Mrs. Bill Jenkins was in the hospital three days recently with pneumonia. Mrs. Leonard Mitchell, Mit-chell, of Roosevelt, assisted in the home during her mother's absence. Rev. Charles Ray, who resides at the Perryman home, left Monday Mon-day . morning for Alabama, to spend Thanksgiving with his folks. Ballard M-Men and scouts are meeting eacfy Tuesday evening at the Alterra gym to practice basketball. Mrs. LaRue Pickup and two government nurses, who recently recent-ly began work at the Ft. Duchesne Du-chesne hospital, called at the Coston home, Monday evening, i One nurse is from New York, the other from Pennsylvania. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins entertained enter-tained Wednesday at a quilting party. Her four daughters, Mrs. Jennie McMullin, of Roosevelt Mrs. Lydia Funk, of Myton' Mrs. Ilene McConkie, of Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, and Mrs. Stella Bodily, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Cecil Ce-cil Jenkins, were present. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Brighton, sons, Lawrence and Kent, and daughter, Marilyn, left Friday for San rancisco. They plan to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. -and Mrs. Albert Sarri and fam- -lly. Mrs. Sarri is the former Ruth Brighton. Cosmopolitan club Friday held election of officers. Enoch Stolla was re-elected as American co-president. |
