Show , Eloosevell PIA Opening Is Encouraging Parents and teachers and pa-1 pa-1 trons of the Roosevelt Elemevi-, Elemevi-, tary and Roosevelt Junior High 'Schools convened Wednesday; evening for a get-acquainted so-' cial in the Elementary School gym. ' I A short business session was ' I conducted by the P-TA president, presi-dent, Mrs. Cliff Memmott, who introduced the teachers and room representatives, as well as the committee chairmen. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett ltd the group in community singing, and Garth Tietien played play-ed a saxophone solo, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Axel Anderson. Square dancing and bingo comprised the evening entertainment, enter-tainment, with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Brown, of Montwel, supervising the dancing, Mrs. Howard Harrison, program chairman, and Floyd Ross in charge of the bingo game. Refreshments were served at the climax of the evening, under the direction of the hospitality committee, Mrs. Gordon Harm-ston, Harm-ston, Mrs. Theron Leavitt and Mrs. Frank Yack. The P-TA banner, awarded to the room having the most parents par-ents in attendance, went to Ida Harrison's first grade. Ralph Shields' and Burr Eldredges' home rooms tied at the Junior High School. |
