Show Popular Young i Ooupie Vied In Temple Rites Marriage vows were exchanged exchang-ed Wednesday, December 6, in the Salt Lake LDS temple by Miss Phyllis Russon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Russon, of Roosevelt, and Claude Neb-eker, Neb-eker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Nebeker, of Fort Duchesne. President Burton performed the ceremony. The newlyweds were honored that evening at a reception and dance in the Roosevelt stake house, which was attended by i many friends and relatives. The bride was lovely in a .wedding gown of white slipper 'satin, with a long train, fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves. It had a sweetheart neckline with sheer nylon inset. Her fingertip veil of bride's illusion and lace trim fell from a halo , crown of orange blossoms. She .carried a bride's bouquet of red roses. ! Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs, Orval Bowden, who wore a formal gown of pale pink chiffon. chif-fon. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Clark Roberts, Vernal, who chose a pink taffeta. Miss Lorraine Lor-raine Anderson and Miss Shan-na Shan-na Bellon, both of Roosevelt, who wore chiffon formals in pastel shades of green and yellow, yel-low, respectively. All attendants attend-ants had nosegays of pink carnations car-nations and white chrysanthemums. chrysanthe-mums. Performing duties of best man was Lynn Nebeker, brother of the groom. I A beautiful three-tiered white wedding cake, decorated with pink rosebuds and topped with a miniature bride and groom, centered the reception table, with red tapers in crystal holders hold-ers at either end. Attractive also in the reception room were palms at each end of the receiving receiv-ing line. A program was arranged, consisting con-sisting of two piano selections by Clyde Johnson and a trum- ' pet solo by Clark Roberts, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Roberts. Master of ceremonies was Orval Or-val Bowden. 1 Dancing was enjoyed by the group to music by Reynold s orchestra. or-chestra. Assisting with gift room arrangements ar-rangements and serving were: Miss JoAnn Todd, Miss Jolene Swain, Miss Joan Walker and Miss Marilyn Brighton. The newlyweds enjoyed sev-eral sev-eral days honeymooning in the canyons in Southern Utah and Arizona, and are now making their home in Gusher. The new Mrs. Nebeker is attending at-tending Alterra high school and the groom is a graduate of Roosevelt high school. |
