Selects lev; Slate Of 1951 Officers Mrs. Ila Lombard, of Jensen, was elected worthy matron of Duveromy chapter No. 17, Order Or-der of Eastern Star, at a meeting meet-ing held Tuesday evening at the Roosevelt Masonic temple. She succeeds Mrs. Elizabeth Winslow, of Duchesne. Appointive offices were filled as follows; Mrs. Frances Perry-man, Perry-man, Ballard, chaplain; Mrs. Mable Curtis, Fort. Duchesne, marshall; Mrs. Roberta Karren, Vernal, organist; Mrs. Margaret Phillipps, Whiterocks, Ada; Mrs. Maxine Hatch, Vernal. Ruth; Mrs. Jean Stevens, Vernal, Esther; Es-ther; Mrs. Wanda Riggle, Neola Ne-ola Martha; Mrs. Helen Stevens, Stev-ens, Vernal, Electa; Mrs. Vivian Voorhies. Vernal, warder; Harvey Har-vey Riggle, Neola, sentinel. installation ceremonies were held immediately following the election, with Mrs. Rose Johnson, John-son, Vernal, past matron, as installing in-stalling officer. " Mrs. Margaret Francke, Vernal, Ver-nal, sang "The Lord's Prayer, at the conclusion of the installation instal-lation ceremony, after which the newly installed officers gathered in a semi-circle before the station .of the worthy matron ma-tron to present her with a bouquet bou-quet of pink roses in a turquoise tur-quoise vase, as Mrs. Francks sang "Only A Rose." ' Titus Jones, Duchesne, outgoing out-going worthy patron, presented the matron's jewel to- out-going Worthy Matron- Elizabeth Wins- 10 Mrs. Essie Neal, past .matron of Duveromy chapter, and past grand matron, Order of Eastern Star of Utah, read the closing prayer. |
