Show Five Duchesne Students Go To U. N. Meeting Five students from Duchesne High School will participate in the second annual model United Nations conference in Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah Friday Fri-day and Saturday, April 20 and 21. Advisor to the' group will be Miss Jane Cahoon. Representing Panama at the two day mock sessions will be Allen Bancroft, Oren Barker, Maxine Lewis, Coleen Pulley and Karol Roberts. They'll also be' members of the Commission on Human Rights at the mock meet. The delegates will hear Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, former United States representative' to the U. N., present chairman of the board of governors of the American Ameri-can Assn. for the U N. and one of America's most prominent women. She will, address the assembly at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. AH 76 member nations of the U. N. will be represented by Utah high schools. The conference is under the direction of the Utah Assn. for the' U. N. and the U. Extension Ex-tension Division. |
