Show P.T.A. Entertained By School Group; Officers Elected WHITEROCKS (Special) Mrs. Laura Wopsock's class presented the program at the April P.T.A. meeting. It consisted consist-ed of acting out in dramatic form, "Indian Lullaby," "Me and My Teddy Bear," "The Swing Song," "The Three Bears," and "Peter Cottontail." "God Bless America" concluded the program. Election of officers for the coming year was conducted. The new P.T.A. officers are Mrs. Mary M. Murray, president; Mrs. Laura Wopsock, vice-president; Alvin J. Duley, treasurer; and Pete Pedia, secretary. Retiring Re-tiring officers are Ivan Duncan, president; J. D. Fosdlck, vice-president; vice-president; Mrs. L. Wopsock, treasurer, and Mrs. Ethel Grant, secretary. Mrs. Robert Marimon entertained enter-tained at a dinner party Thursday Thurs-day evening. Special guest was Forrest D. Stone, who is leaving for Marine officers training in South Caroling. Mrs, Van Arysdale left Tuesday Tues-day for Harrodsburg, Ky., where she will spend the next six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Drum-mond, Drum-mond, of Salt Lake City, will meet Mrs. Van Arysdale at Louisville. Larry Phillipps received the mystic order of the Shrine at the Spring ceremonial in the El Kala Temple, Salt Lake City, last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Robb were given a shower Friday afternoon, af-ternoon, and a wedding dance for them was held that evening at the ward chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoops and Mr. and Mrs. J, O, Hoops attended at-tended the L D.S. conference Sunday and Monday in Salt Lake. They went through the temple Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffin entertained relatives and friends Sunday afternoon at their home. Gib Ellingford attended the L.D.S. conference held at Salt Lake City. Mrs. C. Iorg, of Eureka, Calif., visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Griffin Grif-fin over the week-end. Many people have enjoyed the Bear dances at Ouray and Randlett recently. Cub Ecouts made a trip to the fish hatchery Thursday evening. F. Griffin conducted the tour through the inside of the plant. His audience showed much interest in-terest in the hatching of fish and their early growth. |
