Show Mail Early Plan In Post Office Now In Fuli Swing Postmaster Arvin L. Bellon reports re-ports that his "Mail Early for Christmas" campaign is now in high gear with the big double rush beginning. This occurs when the out-going Christmas mails parallel par-allel the flood of incoming packages pack-ages and Christmas cards. He urges that you get your out-of-state packages into the post office within the next day or two if you want them delivered in time for Christmas. Parcels for nearby points should be mailed by Dec. 10 or earlier. To avoid standing in line, try to bring your parcels to the post office before 10:00 a.m. or between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to avoid the noon hour and evening rush. The Postmaster said that he'd appreciate cooperation from all business firms to delay mailing of circulars and catalogs until after Dec. 25. He also suggests that they step up their regular correspondence cor-respondence mailings to 4:00 p.m. or earlier each day. With the new schedule of incoming and outgoing mail in the late afternoon, the early mailing by business firms would greatly aid us in meeting our schedules at the "post office and would insure earlier dispatch. Let's help make this a Merrier Christmas for everybody, urges I your local Postmaster. |
