Nye The Duchesne County" Daughters Daugh-ters of the Utah Pioneers hav? accepted an invitation from the Uintah County Daughters of the Utah Pioneers to meet in a joint convention, with members of the State Central Company attending-, on Saturday, Sep:. 27. Mrs. Thelma Dexter, president of the Uintah County Camps, extended the invitation in a latter lat-ter to Mrs. Elaine S. Webb, secretary sec-retary of ,the Duchesne County Camps. Mrs. Dexter stated Uinta.i County is dedicating a pionee" marker at Naples at that time and would be happy to have Duchesne County join in the ceremonies. The meetings will also be held at Naples, with further fur-ther details to be announced later. lat-er. Mrs. Dexter stated Uintah would transact their - business during the morning sessions and the afternoon session wiuld be reserved . as a business meeting for Duchesne County. State Central Cen-tral officers will address all meetings and participate in the marker dedication. It is hoped all members of the organization will be able to aitend this annual convention and participate in the wonderful wonder-ful inspirational work in memory mem-ory of our pioneer ancestors. The Uintah County Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers will serve luncheon in the Naples Ward Chapel during the noon recess of the annual convention of the organization. A charge of .75c per pate will be made. The morning session will be devoted to Uintah County business busi-ness and the afternoon session will be turned to' the Duchesne County officers to present their business. Because of the outstanding record in registering new mem-, bers during the past year, the Duchesne County registrar, Mr?. Arwella P. Moon, of Duchesne, has been asked to participate on the program at the semi-annual convention to be held in the Hotel Utah in October, according ac-cording to an announcement by j Mrs. Thelma D. Nye, president of the Duchesne County camps. Mrs. Moon will address the convention con-vention on "How Duchesne County registers new members," and will tell of the successful campaign inaugurated a year ago when the new officers were elected. |
